The Open Innovation Programme
(Accelerating Innovation in Rail) was launched
in conjunction with Innovate UK to promote
and enable innovation in the railway and
support rail industry initiatives.
It achieves this by encouraging more rapid
development and adoption of business
innovation in UK rail and a more open
+
innovation approach.
Projects recently completed under this
programme include Aerospace materials in
rail, an Ecotrain concept, camera-based
condition monitoring, and snow/ice
prevention on points.
