What is Operation ∫teM?
Operation ∫teM is a free program that provides
an engaging experience for students interested
in STEM-related majors to pass Precalculus and
Calculus courses.
Let's take a look at the first year:

∮ Place into MTH 167 (Pre-Calc 1)
∮ Receive $300 after completing the
Operation ∫teM 2-week Summer Institute
∮ Start bonding with a supportive peer group
Fall 2013

∮ Attend group sessions with Peer Teachers
∮ Visit the Math Learning Center for one-onone tutoring with a Peer Teacher
Spring 2014

Summer 2014
∮ Complete MTH 181 (Calc 1), receive $1000,
and begin your sophomore year Calculus
ready (a prerequisite for a STEM major)
Why Operation ∫teM?
Am I Eligible?
In order to succeed in a STEM major,
students must pass Calculus. However, the
success rates for passing it in most
universities are fairly low.
If you are a First-Time, Full-Time Freshman,
meaning an incoming freshman planning to
take between 12 and 16 credit hours, then you
qualify for Operation ∫teM.
Take advantage of what
Operation ∫teM offers:
The next step is to place into Precalculus 1,
and register using our online application at
