AAPLE
Assessment and Accreditation of Prior Learning Experience
Learning takes place in the classroom as well as other settings. If you are an adult student with substantial
work experience, volunteer experience, or specialized training in an area related to urban affairs, Assessment
and Accreditation of Prior Learning Experience (AAPLE) might be right for you. Through this program you
could be awarded up to 24 semester hours towards an Urban Affairs undergraduate major through a portfolio
that describes and documents your prior learning. All AAPLE students must complete UST 190, a 2-credit
class, before submitting a portfolio.
