Victor’s career goals include improving mental health of underrepresented groups and populations, reducing mental
health disparities among underrepresented groups and population, and improving U.S. and world race-relations.

Research Experience
Independent investigations included a) student interpretations of racial microaggressions, b) help-seeking attitudes
as a mediating factor for acculturation and willingness to seek help, and c) gender differences in the relationship
between acculturation and depression.
Collaborative projects included a) source effect studies exploring how students evaluate African American
professors and White professors presenting race-related information, b) privilege and inequality framing studies of
instructors teaching about inequalities associated with race, gender, sexual orientation, and appearance, and c) helpseeking behavior among low-income, clinically depressed, Latino men.

Program at Clark University; Peer-reviewed submission abstracts for the 2014 Diversity Research Symposium at
Ball State University; Involved in the creation of the Latino Research Initiative at Boston College School of Social
Work.
