Suggestions for strategies for researching or using resources
 Organise your research and put it into categories of your choice – this could be factors
that affect memory, case studies, psychological research or a category/theme that you
have identified
 Use the ‘Test Yourself’ materials on www.youramazingbrain.org to investigate your own
memory
 Look at a variety of case studies of people with memory difficulties. Compare them to
people with average memories. What are the causes and consequences of their memory
impairment?
Suggested outcomes for presenting what you have learned – choose one or come up
with your own method to show what you have learnt….
 A review of the media you have interacted with – eg a book or film review
 A folder including a range of notes and mind maps
 A poster on memory strategies for students
 A plan for a research study you would like to conduct
 A magazine article that you have written to explain everyday memory
You should bring your completed work to your first Psychology lesson – be aware this may
be the first day of term.
