Job Summary:
Position is responsible for the administrative and technical management
of the economic services programs for the County Department of Social Services. The
economic support services programs include Food & Nutrition, Work First Employment and
Cash Assistance, Medicaid, Special Assistance to Adults, and Low Income Energy Assistance.
This position supervises program supervisors who are responsible for the day-to-day functions
of their program/functional units. This position is responsible for overall planning and budgeting
for the economic services programs and is involved with the overall agency planning as a
member of the senior management team. This position is involved in community and program
needs assessments and has significant input into long-term planning, organizing, and directing
the budget and personnel functions for economic services programs as well as input into the
planning and budgetary process for the entire agency.
Minimum Qualifications: Two years of supervisory experience in an economic services or
services program, and preferably with one year of experience in an economic services program;
or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Must have considerable management
skills, the ability to organize, direct, plan, and evaluate economic services programs.
Successful candidates must be able to communicate effectively orally and in written form.
Salary: $44,771 - $57,083
