T H AN K Y O U
To all of our parishioners who donated Easter plants and to our Arts and Environment Committee
that designed and created the beautiful floral arrangements.
To all the singers and instrumentalists who filled the church with the sounds of
beautiful music.
To the members of the Liturgy Committee coordinators and Liturgical Ministers
who served so faithfully throughout the Triduum.
To the members of the Hospitality Commission who provided the wonderful reception
following Easter Vigil.
To all who shared their time and talents to make this Easter such a wonderful
expression of divine and human love.
2009 CATHOLIC APPEAL – Responding to God’s Grace, Renewing Our Church – Stewardship
reminds us to count our blessings, acknowledge God’s gifts to us and express thanks to Him. We do this
by a proportionate giving of our time, talent and treasure. We sincerely thank everyone in our parish
who as good stewards have made a gift to the Catholic Appeal. You are helping many people with many
needs. God calls us to share what we have to help others. If you have not yet made your pledge,
envelopes are available at the back of the Church.
For more information, please visit
www.BostonCatholicAppeal.com or call 617-779-3700. Every gift matters!

PROJECT BREAD WALK FOR HUNGER…SUNDAY, MAY
3rd.
TEAM IGNATIUS is on the Project
Bread website (www.projectbread.org) for
registration and/or donations. Registration materials can also be gotten on the
Outreach table and at church doors. Walkers are needed, as are volunteers
(there’s a real need for Walk day volunteers this year). We surpassed our goal last year and
hope to do the same this year (our goal is $3,000).
SHATTUCK SPRINGTIME MEAL – Sign-up sheets for kitchen prep,
meal serving and food donations for our Saturday, April 25th Meal are on
the Outreach table in the gathering space. Please consider being a part of
this tremendous outreach ministry to the 200+ Guests at Shattuck.
REMINDER: The Meal is this coming Saturday.
SPRING/SUMMER CLOTHING DRIVE: Our annual drive for the Guests at
St. Francis House Day Shelter in Boston will be the weekend of May 2nd/3rd

summer clothing – no storage room at the Shelter! Collection boxes will be at each
church entrance.

2009 PARISH SUPPORT PROGRAM—PLEDGE FOR THE GREATER GLORY
Recognizing that each of us is facing more difficult economic times, we would still like to
encourage those not contributing to the parish to do so to the best of their ability. The Pledge
Campaign is the method that St. Ignatius Parish uses to collect regular contributions in support
of the parish. Over 500 parishioners are now participating in this program. Many parishioners
are making their contributions by credit cards and bank transfers, which is particularly helpful to
the parish on those weekends when stormy weather or vacation schedules prevent people from
attending Mass and putting cash in the basket. But if you prefer to contribute by envelope, you
can do that, too.
Please do your part to support this wonderful parish by signing up for the Pledge for the Greater
Glory if you are not now signed up. Call or stop by the rectory to sign up. And if you are
currently participating, please consider increasing your pledge!
