SUMMARY THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES’ RECORDS DECISION PANEL, 26 JANUARY 2015 Revision of Operational Selection Policy (OSP) 49 Records of UK Export Finance – Statement of changes : OSP49: Export Credit Guarantee Department 1978 onwards has been updated to reflect the change of name of Export Credit Guarantee Department to UK Export Finance. The title of OSP49 has been changed to Records of UK Export Finance 1978 onwards. The changes in OSP49 include the insertion of UK Export Finance (UKEF) in place of Export Credit Guarantee Department (ECGD) throughout the document. The OSP also includes records of the new function of the Direct Lending Facility (DLF) that was launched in September 2013. The DLF provides loans to overseas buyers who purchase goods and services from British Exporters. ECG15 – High Impact Case Files will also be selected for preservation at The National Archives. High Impact Cases, which are included in UKEF annual reports and are referenced on the UKEF website, are those with high potential environmental, social and human rights impacts. Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) Draft Acquisition Policy The Records Decision Panel considered a Draft Appraisal Policy submitted by the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority for the NDA Archive they are proposing to build. The draft policy sets out which records the Archive would look to collect and proposes that selected public records that relate to operational aspects of nuclear decommissioning should go to the Archive. The Panel considered the draft policy and agreed in principle to the decisions outlined in the document. Date of next meeting The next meeting is to be held on 31 March at 10am
