Queensborough Community College Committee on Continuing Education Minutes of the Meeting Date: Tuesday, November 8, 2005 Time: 2:00 PM Location: Room A407 In Attendance: Sheila Beck, Sophia Foglia, Jane Poulsen, Simran Sehmi, Lana Zinger Ms. Foglia reviewed some of Continuing Education’s current goals. These include:
· Expanding programs for children through the “Kid’s College”
· Expanding certificate programs
· Expanding efforts to market course offerings The Committee discussed faculty concerns that Continuing Education course offerings remain consistent with the image and mission of the college. Ms. Foglia agreed to write a mission statement that would include criteria for evaluating Continuing Education course offerings.
