Minutes of the November 30th, 2010 Meeting
Present: Dr. Aranzazu Borrachero (Chair), Dr. Moni Chauhan, Dr. Philip Pecorino, Dr. Anthony
Kolios, Dr.Caf Dowlah, and Dean Arthur Corradetti (Ex-Officio).
Absent: Dr. Richard Yuster, Dr. David Klarberg, Fiona Ng (student representative).
1. The meeting was called to order at 2:15 pm.
2. Minutes of 11/23/2010 meeting were accepted and approved.
3. The committee discussed the proposed implementation of the NC grade applicable to
MA-005, MA-010, BE-112, BE-122, BE-205, and BE-226, and starting in the Spring
2011 semester. It was concluded that the matter pertains to the committee on Course
and Standing as expressed in the College governance bylaws and, specifically, in section
(a) of the following excerpt:
"Section 17. The Committee on Course and Standing:
a. Formulate and recommend to the Academic Senate policies pertaining to the
academic standards of Queensborough Community College including scholastic
requirements for graduation, retention standards, probationary limits, and the
grading system.”
4. The meeting adjourned at 3.15 pm.
