An Act to Amend Chapter 310 of the Student Government Association Code-of-Laws

BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION OF THE
UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH ALABAMA

Preamble:
WHEREAS, the Student Government Association seeks to modernize its
operating structure by updating its Code of Laws.

WHEREAS, the Student Government Association seeks to improve the efficiency
of the Student Affairs Committee in responding to student needs.

WHEREAS, the Student Government Association seeks to foster student pride in
the University of South Alabama.

Section 1: Chapter 310.1 shall be amended to read:
The Student Affairs Committee shall have the sole responsibility to be familiar
with the needs of students, to occasionally hold hearings on student needs, and
offer suggestions to the University or the Vice President of Student Affairs when
requested or required.
Section 2: Chapter 310.2 shall be amended to read:
The Student Affairs Committee will plan spirit development initiatives that
increase student pride in the University of South Alabama.
Section 3: This act shall take effect March 17, 2015
