PHY 599 Seminar Statistical Mechanics of Nuclear Collisions Benjamin Gläßle 02/25/2009 Abstract In my talk I want to introduce the thermodynamical analysis of data from (ultrarelativistic) nucleus-nucleus collisions at AGS, SPS and RHIC. A simple thermodynamical model can be used to determine the temperature T and the Baryon chemical potential µB at freeze-out from Quark Gluon Plasma to a free Hadron gas. This phase boundary can be investigated by √ scanning the beam energy ( sN N ). Results and restrictions of this method will be discussed. References [1] P.
