Join Games4Life
and ‘Wake Up LazyTown ’
We have teamed up with children’s TV show LazyTown that, just like Change4Life, was
created to encourage children and families to adopt healthier changes to their lifestyle.
Instructions on how to Wake Up LazyTown:
Together we’re challenging kids to move more and increase their daily active minutes by
playing a fun game – perfect for children aged 2 to 5. You’ll find details about how to play
below this.
Lay out all the tiles, with Zzzz facing up, in a random
order or pattern on the floor (see example) and you’re
ready to play. It’s that simple!
Wake Up LazyTown is the name of the game
As a group, creep up to a chosen tile (Robbie Rotten
mustn’t know the group is in LazyTown) turn it over
and do the activity as instructed (the group can make
lots of noise when they’re actually doing an activity).
Then, creep on to another tile and so on.

We need your help! Sportacus and his LazyTown friends really enjoy being active – it makes
them feel great! So it comes as no surprise they’d love to take part in Games4Life this
summer, which involves lots of physical activities. But there’s a big problem!
Robbie Rotten has concocted one of his evil plans and cast a spell on LazyTown, making
everyone fall into a deep sleep!
We need you to go to LazyTown and do some special activities
to break the spell and wake everyone up without Robbie Rotten
knowing you’re there. You’ll then step aboard Sportacus’s AirShip
and return home as Games4Life heroes. Hoorah!
So, are you ready to Wake Up LazyTown?

Be warned! Come across the Robbie Rotten tile and he’ll send the group back
to the beginning and put all the characters back under his evil spell. (Hopefully
the group will remember where Robbie Rotten is and avoid him next time.)
Once the group have woken everyone up, they must collect all the tiles and
put them in a pile underneath the Sportacus AirShip tile before doing a special
move to blast off and head home as Games4Life heroes!
Here’s how to do the special move:
Step 1 – The group joins hands and makes a circle around
the AirShip
Step 2 – The group runs on the spot for 5 seconds,
while counting down - 5... 4... 3... 2... 1...
Step 3 – The group all jump in the air and shout - ‘Heroes!’
Top up the energy
while waking up LazyTown !
Young kids do need healthier snacks between meals to keep them going throughout the day and to keep them
topped up with energy. Along with their main meals, healthier mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks packed
with nutrients will help them grow and develop properly.
Here are some top tips for healthier, easy snacks!
Drinking fluids is also important to keep them hydrated throughout the day.
•Chopped up vegetables such as carrot, cucumber or tomato
with plain yoghurt
The best drinks to give kids are milk or water. Try to keep fruit juices to meal times because it’s better for
their teeth – and when you do, why not try LazyTown Smoothies? These count towards one of their 5 a day.
• Homemade plain popcorn (unsweetened or unsalted)
• Strawberry & Banana Smoothie with oat fibre
• Apple & Blackcurrant Smoothie with oat fibre
