Good public relations skills
Knowledge of rules of student conduct
Experience in law enforcement related field preferred
First Aid Certified (recommended)
CPR & AED Certified (recommended)

Ability to perform the functions of the position
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To assist all visitors on the campus and guide them to needed campus locations.
2. To monitor the presence of visitors on campus, assuring that they are only in approved
areas of the school.
3. To assist all students in following school policies as outlined in the Code of Conduct.
4. To assist in the supervision of students in open areas of the campus.
5. To check for anyone trespassing and escort them to the School Resource Office.
6. To assist administration and deans in responding to requests for student removal from
class or when called
7. To monitor the school’s parking lot and gate entrances for problems and report violations
to the School
Resource Officer.
8. To work with the school administration to secure and lock down the campus during
emergencies.
9. To work closely with the School Resource Officer regarding campus activities and
security.
10. To assist with school bus area or parent drop off area supervision before and after school.
11. To establish and maintain good rapport with students.
12. To establish and maintain good rapport with all staff and administration.
13. To exhibit good judgment and initiative in emergency situations.
14. To attend all school safety committee meetings.
15. To attend annual loss control training by district safety specialist.
16. To perform assigned tasks in a time and efficient manner.
17. To perform tasks with a high standard of quality.
18. To perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
