JOB GOAL
To assist schools and school based teams in the identification of appropriate tiered interventions
and to assist in the measurement of those interventions for their effectiveness. To assist school
based teams in the problem solving process and in analyzing data leading to the development
of appropriate effective interventions.

Master’s degree preferred.
Valid Florida certification in any content area.
Minimum of three (3) years successful teaching experience.
Ability to perform the functions of the position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To implement the four steps of the problem-solving process and the skills to facilitate this
process with a school-based team.
2. To ensure the implementation of universal screening and progress monitoring data
collection in primary content areas of reading/literacy, mathematics, and behavior at the
elementary levels and common assessments at the high school level.
3. To use school-based data to determine the effectiveness of academic and behavior
instruction at the core and supplemental instruction/intervention levels.
4. To use screening and progress monitoring data both to inform the development of
interventions and the evaluation of those interventions.
5. To facilitate the development of school-based instruction and intervention maps at the core,
supplemental (targeted) and intensive levels of instruction/intervention.
6. To ensure the evaluation of the fidelity of core instruction and skills to provide the technical
support to ensure fidelity of supplemental (targeted) and intensive interventions.
7. To implement a documentation system to ensure sufficiency of supplemental (targeted) and
intensive interventions.
8. To evaluate the types (positive, questionable, poor) of response to instruction/intervention
for large groups, small groups and individual students.
9. To involve students and families in the development and evaluation of and engagement with
supplemental and intensive interventions.

10. Consultation and group facilitation to ensure effective communication, collaboration and
technical assistance support that result in the implementation of problem-solving/ response
to intervention with integrity and sustainability. Consultation and group facilitation include
but are not limited to:
a. Building and sustaining relationships with educators from various disciplines that result
in a shared vision of high academic and behavioral performance for all students
b. Creating environments in which educators trust that their input is respected by the group
c. Facilitating group consensus through
i. Listening
ii. Questioning
iii. Paraphrasing
iv. Summarizing
v. Synthesizing information
vi. Displaying empathy
vii. Assertive but tactful feedback
11. To perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
