JOB GOAL:
Responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems,
hardware, or software. Work with ITS Team to development and maintain policy and procedures
to assist end users with their questions encountered during the course of normal daily data
processing activities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Knowledge of and/or experience in microcomputer software and support equipment.
3. Knowledge of processing software requests.
4. Knowledge of office practices, procedures, and policies.
5. Ability to interact with user community.
6. Knowledge of State/Federal FTE/Survey processing.
7. General office skills, word processing, spreadsheet and data entry.
8. Ability to perform the functions of the position.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Basic knowledge of data communications and Windows DOS/VSE operating system
software.
2. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
3. Familiarity with DOE reporting requirements.
4. Experience in the Florida public school system.
5. Knowledge of Data Center operations and/or Student/Business software.
6. Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop and maintain all documentation and user manuals to ensure that the end user has
adequate written instructions for all programs processed on the District Systems.
2. To be a liaison between the ITS Department and all users.
3. Coordinate, prepare, and present in-service workshops to the user community as requested
by the user and/or as changes to application programs dictate.
4. Work with end users to problem solve their issues and escalate to Level II, if needed, with
the proper documentation.
5. Responsibilities include back-up to Operations
6. Responsible for submission and follow-up for district-wide FTE.
7. Administer all data transmissions to and from the DOE.
8. Perform assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner and at a high standard of quality.
9. Perform other duties as assigned by the Data Processing Manager and/or the Assistant
Superintendent of IT.
Physical Demand Class – Medium Heavy: (MH) - Frequent lifting and carrying of objects
weighing 35 pounds or less. Infrequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing 35-70 pounds.
Continuous walking and/or standing is required to carry out duties. Infrequent walking at fast
pace and/or running may be required.
