JOB GOAL
Responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems,
hardware, or software. Work with ITS Team to development and maintain policy and procedures
to assist end users with their questions encountered during the course of normal daily data
processing activities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1.
High School diploma or equivalent.
2.
T.A.B.E. test or successful completion of nine (9) non-remedial college credit hours.
3.
Knowledge of and/or experience in microcomputer and support equipment.
4.
Knowledge of IBM mainframe operations.
5.
Knowledge of office practices, procedures, and management with typing skills.
6.
Ability to interact with user community.
7.
General Office skills, word processing, spreadsheet, and data entry.
8.
Ability to perform the functions of the position.

Basic knowledge of data processing and Windows operating system software.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Familiarity with DOE reporting requirements.
Experience in the Florida public school system.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
Develop and maintain all documentation and user manuals to ensure that the end user
has adequate written instructions for all programs processed on the District Systems.
2.
To be a liaison between the ITS Department and all users.
3.
Coordinate, prepare, and present in-service workshops to the user community as
requested by the user and/or as changes to application programs dictate.
4.
Work with end users to problem solve their issues and escalate to Level II, if needed, with
the proper documentation.
5.
Responsibilities include back-up to Operations.
6.
Perform general secretarial duties, including typing correspondence, payroll, preparation
of purchase orders and budget items, as required.
7.
Responsible for follow-up on District-wide Survey data with Schools/Departments

8.
Perform assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner and at a high standard of quality.

To perform other duties as assigned by the Data Processing Manager and/or the Assistant
Superintendent of IT.
Physical Demand Class – Physical Demand Class - Medium Heavy: (MH) - Frequent lifting and
carrying of objects weighing 35 pounds or less. Infrequent lifting and carrying of objects
weighing 35-70 pounds. Continuous walking and/or standing is required to carry out duties.
Infrequent walking at fast pace and/or running may be required.
