QUALIFICATIONS 1. High school diploma or equivalent with some business and accounting training. 2. T.A.B.E. test or successful completion of one (1) year of college work. 3. General office skills, word processing and data entry proficiency tests 4. Computational, organizational and interpersonal relationship skills. 5. Ability to perform the functions of the position. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. To process and check extensions of invoices. 2. To assist with coding and inputting of check run. 3. To balance check run and make necessary adjustments. 4. To assure that checks are signed before disbursement. 5. To assist in separating invoices and mailing checks to vendors. 6. To void computer checks. 7. To assist in preparing and posting any budget and budget amendments. 8. To assure that all processed transactions are balanced for each batch. 9. To see that all payrolls crossover and are in balance. 10. To analyze FMIS 315 to see that encumbrances and expenditures are charged to the correct program. 11. To send schools their reports at the end of each month; assist schools with questions regarding their budgets on printouts. 12. To work with Accounting Clerk and is responsible for balancing end-of-month and end-of-year reports. 13. To assume role as Bookkeeper II when necessary; perform all duties of Accounting Clerks when necessary. Accounting Bookkeeper Page 2 14. To research information pertaining to invoices, etc. for Director of Finance and vendors. 15. To perform assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner. 16. To perform assigned tasks with a high standard of quality. 17. To perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Physical Demand Class: Sedentary Light (SL) - Occasional lifting and carrying of objects weighing 0 pounds or less. Infrequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing 11-20 pounds. Occasional walking and/or standing may be required.
