Plastpro, INC. Accounting Coordinator SUMMARY Performs required clerical and analytical functions in the Accounting Department, as directed by the Accounting Manager. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Responsible for Auditing and preparing check requests for vendor invoices. Handle matching, batching and coding of invoices. Entering inventory and non-inventory vendor invoices in to the AP system. Preparing voiding and re-issuing of checks. Reviewing and coding expense reports for adherence to reimbursement policy. Distributing checks to vendors and employees. Maintaining organized files of open and closed AP invoices. Setting up vendors, employees, and payment terms in Friedman/AS400 & In-house system. Gathering W-9 Forms. Processing and Auditing1096 and 1099 Forms for submission to IRS. Preparing cash voucher for refunds from vendor. Researching returned checks/credits for reconciliation and reconciling discrepancies. Reconciling receiving & non-voucher report Reconciling petty cash and credit card statements from plants. Working closely with IT department with new improvements to the current In-house system. Creating guidelines and procedures to be followed by plant AP staff. Communicating with vendors & plants on past due invoices and other related issues. Performing other duties, analysis and projects as assigned. Evaluating process flows within the A/P cycle and make ongoing recommendations for improvement. Preparing accounts receivable daily cash voucher & deposit & other A/R related function. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree and 1 to 3 years experience preferred. Some financial background is essential. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Needs to have analytical, communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and be a quick learner. COMPUTER SKILLS Must be proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as vendor contract, reps agreement and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively state your point. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
