Triorama Directions To make a Triorama, you will need one sheet of 12 x 18 inch construction paper for each student. The paper is folded with a Taco style fold to create a square. The excess paper rectangle can be cut off, or used for writing a summary of the scene. Taco Fold The remaining square of paper should be folded so that the folds extend from corner to corner. Cut along the fold from one of the corners to the center point where both folds cross. Holding the paper so that the bottom two “legs” are pointed toward the floor, cross the “legs” so that they overlap. This will form an open pyramid shape. Have students draw and color their background before gluing their “legs” together. Once they have glued the “legs” they will finish the Triorama by cutting and gluing stand-up figures. Students will need heavy paper on which to draw their characters. They will also need to put a small tab on the bottom of the character, with which to glue it to the Triorama. Four of the trioramas may be glued together to tell a complete story in 4 scenes. Denise White, 2007
