In support of Guided Pathways, Instruction and Student Services Commissions will jointly bring forward recommendations to implement early career assessment, advising and intervention. Clarify relationship and opportunities for collaboration between WEC and CESC. 1. First year - joint task force brings forward recommendations to WACTC. Collaborate with Instruction Commission on common issues impacting student success. 1. IC/WSSSC will hold a joint Executive Committee meeting in the fall to identify partnership opportunities. 2. Create a learning environment free of sexual harassment & assault for all learners; protect parenting/pregnant student access to education as defined by Title IX. Mapping the processes regarding the compliance, investigation, and reporting for Title IX cases. Co-designing opportunities for educating students and employees about Title IX/VAWA. 2. Partnering to implement CampusClarity successfully across system and assess the effectiveness of CampusClarity. Exploring opportunities to partner with SBCTC with administration of Campus Climate Survey Support system-wide understanding of accountability on the part of all responsible functional areas (WSSSC, IC, HRC, SSEMC, etc.) 3. Leverage best practices of ATD/College Spark/AVID for student success through evidenced based practice work group. Identify key targeted areas for collaboration, such as assessment or customer service specialists. 3. Catalog best practices in WA State to effectively increase student success. 4. Decrease FAFSA and Financial Aid process barriers for students. 4. Create system-wide efficiencies to simplify the application process; gathering suggestions from FAC membership for standardization of processes and centralization of documents. 1. Utilize LBGTQI demographic information to inform decision making and professional development in support of student success. Increase degree completion of historically underrepresented and emerging student populations (e.g. students of color, students with disabilities, veterans, LBGTQI, returning adult, college bound scholars, etc.). 2. Ensure LBGTQI demographic data collection is supported in the transition to PeopleSoft. 3. Continue to provide DREAMer workshops and training. Utilize lessons learned in FirstLink GoLive to assist in First Wave GoLive. 2. Maintain awareness of staff impacts related to ctcLink planning and implementation. 2. Identify opportunities to recognize, celebrate and reward staff input, engagement and accomplishments throughout project timeline. 1. Identify gaps not met by scope of Campus Solutions and evaluate potential technology to address the gaps 1. Make recommendations related to adoption of key innovations and core technology that enhance student success and completion. 2. Finalize Accessible Technology Policy. 2. Bring Accessible Technology Policy to WACTC for approval and submission to SBCTC policy manual. 3. Create an Accessible Technology Implementation team coordinating regular meetings and timeline for implementation. 3. Objective Strategy Intended Outcome Present timely and relevant professional development sessions at commission and council meetings. 1. Continue annual joint training for new Vice Presidents of Instruction and Student Services. 1. Shared efficiencies and create a policy to ensure all meetings and any sponsored conferences/events are accessible to all participants. 2. Create mentoring system for VPs new to role and/or SBCTC. 2. Commission members develop a strong network of professional partners and shared resources regarding issues of compliance, SBCTC policy & practices. 3. Move towards a thematic/modular professional development model for WSSSC 3. Develop and implement a year-long modular professional development model. 1. Review the mission, need and purpose of each council, including bylaws, work plans and work products. 1. Effective & efficient councils reflective of the current needs of students, SBCTC, WACTC and WSSSC. Rubric will be created in 15-16 by subcommittee, and discussed and distributed to councils 2.
