Career services personnel have the ability to upload candidate achievements, incentivizing students to engage in developmental activities while elevating the quality and prestige of the program. BizBio’s specialized talent database, pre-completed profiles and university verified achievements attract corporate recruiters in search of high quality, time and cost effective recruitment methods. Venture Highway Undergrad Track 1st Place Fidgit Children with autism often have trouble sitting still to do table time activities such as homework. They wiggle around in order to activate their proprioceptive and vestibular senses to help them focus. This can be detrimental to their work as current seats only allow movement in the upper body. Fidgit is a sensory seat designed to help these children, along with children with ADD and ADHD, give themselves this sensory input while leaving their upper body stable to focus on work. Many occupational and physical therapists have already expressed a desire for this device in their offices. The market for Fidgit will begin with these therapists but has the ability to expand into homes, schools, and medical research. Fidgit is a helpful medical device that has undeniable potential. 2nd Place - Tutor ME University Tutor Me University is a web application that enables university students to register themselves as tutors in any of the classes they've taken and received a certain grade in (minimum grade will be determined by the student’s respective university). Students seeking a tutor can log onto our web application and search our database to find a tutor from their school who has taken their class and has good customer reviews. By showcasing our tutors in a familiar “profile” view, students can pick a highly rated tutor that suits their needs best. Additionally, our web application enables tutors to start review sessions which students can join and also enables students to start study groups that other students can join. We make our money by charging universities a subscription fee to have our web application available to their students. 3rd Place - MediCinch With the rising cost of healthcare and unpredictable economy, people can't afford to spend extra money unnecessarily. One of the easiest ways to cut back on healthcare costs is to go to in-network healthcare facilities whenever possible. That's where MediCinch comes in. MediCinch will create a mobile application that allows users to quickly locate healthcare facilities based on their insurance provider. Users will be able to see results on a map and securely store personal insurance and medical information should they choose to do so. We will provide up-to-date, reliable information regarding facilities to ensure people can easily find help when they need it. MediCinch will save patients time and help them cut back on healthcare costs all with one simple push of a button.
