Historical Note
The Indiana Sesquicentennial manuscript and copying project was an effort in 1966 to collect and copy
all manuscripts relating to 150 years of historical development in Indiana. As one of several cooperating
libraries across the state, Ball State University was selected to hold a portion of these copies.
Scope and Contents
The collection contains 150 papers, diaries, business records, journals, account books, sermons, speeches,
and other miscellaneous items from both individuals and families in Indiana from 1786 to 1976.
