The following were discussed and agreed upon by the steering team as recent accomplishments

Compiled table of retention activities. This is a living document that will continue to be updated regularly.

Phase I of Data Warehouse is nearing production. Security is the last hurdle to overcome.

Distance Learning team finished writing their survey. It is set to deploy during the second week of the semester.

Quad Cities team created a list of hypotheses they would like to test.

Retention Newsletter went out on September 10. This should be on the table of retention activities. It should also be linked to the table, and the table linked to it. The next newsletter should also have a list of who is on each team.

Website continues to have more visitors.

Submitted an update to HLC and received feedback.

Added new team members to all of the team.

The Academy webpage on WIU’s site was reorganized. It now includes tips for student retention, past newsletters, and a blog.

Agenda topic Additional Updates from Teams | Presenter Team Leaders

The Macomb team met and had a great discussion. People began to feel like they are headed in the right direction. Members are providing additional updates to the table of retention activities. Macomb team also discussed FYE and University 100 as topics to focus on.

The Data Team goals for Spring semester are to make a decision on security for Phase I and move it into production, and complete testing on Phase II by the end of the semester.

Quad Cities team reports that there are more faculty members joining the team and that the great discussions that have been taking place during meetings have had a positive impact beyond the Academy.

The Distance Learning team is looking forward to their survey going out.
