SELLA tec SAFE SD is a clear, colourless liquid based on a combination
of halogen-free flame retardant compounds and fixing agents.
Charge: Cationic.
Handling & Storage:
Low viscosity liquid that can be readily pumped and dispensed.
Wear goggles and gloves during handling. Always stir before use and close
containers tightly afterwards.
Can be stored for about 1 year (from date of production), if protected from
frost and heat above 40°C. If product becomes frozen, warm to approx.
20°C and stir before use.

SELLA tec SAFE SD improves the flame retardancy of leather, when
applied as part of an appropriate leather process.

SELLA tec SAFE SD is based on a combination of flame retardant
compounds with fixing agents which improves uptake onto the leather
fibre and thereby makes the process simpler and safer.

SELLA tec SAFE SD is halogen and formaldehyde free.
–
SELLA tec SAFE SD has, compared to other flame retardant agents,
only a minimal influence on dyeing behaviour.
–
SELLA tec SAFE SD shows a positive effect on smoke density vs.
other traditional flame retardant agents.

SELLA tec SAFE SD is preferably applied in the drum at the end of the
wet-end process.
At the end of the wet-end process, after the final washing, between 18% and

24% SELLA tec SAFE SD (based on shaved weight) are applied in the
drum, in a very short, warm float (e.g. 20% float at 30°C).
®
Important: SELLA tec SAFE SD should be allowed to exhaust/penetrate
for approx. 60 min. It is important that no rinsing or washing is carried out
after its application, and to aid fixation, the treated leathers should be
horsed-up for approx. 24 hours before further processing.

SELLA tec SAFE SD can also be applied by roller-coater or spray
application, on the flesh-side, after the final finishing.

SELLA tec SAFE SD should be used together with the other products from
