Post Office
Our Mission
The mission of the Marist Post Office is
to provide the community with efficient
processing and distribution of its mail
and packages.
The Marist Post Office is not a contract
station operated by the U.S. Postal
Services, but we are required to follow
all of the regulations of the U.S. Postal
Services when processing our mail.
Mailing Items
The U.S. Postal Service pick up time for
Marist is at 3:30 pm Monday – Friday.
There is no mail pick up from the USPS on
Saturday.
Off-Campus Mailing:
The Marist Post Office provides the
following services for mailing:
A. Sale of postage stamps
B. USPS services:
• Express Mail /Priority Mail
• Standard Post / Media Mail
• Certified Mail
C. Packaging supplies for mailing
small to medium size items and
documents
Marist College will not be responsible
for the lost or damage of items once the
Postal Service, UPS, Fed Ex takes receipt
of your item being mailed.
On-Campus Mailing:
You may send mail on-campus to offices,
students or teachers. No postage is
required for mail being delivered on
campus. When addressing student mail
for on-campus delivery you must include
their full name and MSC #. Mail being
addressed to teachers must include their
name and department. Please include your
name and MSC# as a return address. Oncampus mail is delivered to the community
Monday – Friday.

The following address format should be used
for mail and packages that are being mailed
to you
Mail is delivered to all student mailboxes
Monday - Saturday. It is our goal to
have all First –Class mail delivered to all
student mailboxes by 2:00 pm. Magazine
subscriptions, Standard mail (advertisement
mail) and campus mail are delivered later in
the day.
The Marist Post Office and the Student
Mailboxes are located on the second floor
of the Student Center.

Mailbox Keys
For the most efficient and secure delivery
of your mail, please bring your mail key with
you when coming to the Post Office. Any
request to have your mail delivered over the
counter will be refused.
Please come to the Post Office service
counter if you need to replace a lost mail
key. The key replacement fee can be paid
with cash or Marist Money.
Saturday deliveries are limited to First-Class
mail only.
Receiving of Packages
When the following items are sent to a student:
• Overnight Letters
• UPS and USPS parcels, mailbags etc.
• Flower arrangements being shipped by UPS
or Fed Ex.
An e-mail will be sent to the student’s Marist
Foxmail account notifying them of the receipt of
a package.
Saturday deliveries are limited to Express and
Priority packages only.
If you withdraw or take a leave of absence,
you must return your key and fill out a
Change of Address form.
IMPORTANT DELIVERY NOTICE!
Large volumes of packages are received during
the first few weeks of each semester causing
delays in delivery.
Go to the Champagant Lobby located
between the Champagant dorm and the
Student Center. Enter the lobby and use
the elevator or stairs to get to the second
floor. You will see signs that will direct you
to the Post Office.

Service Hours are reduced during winter,
spring and summer breaks. These hours will
be posted.
