Applying for Graduation/Degree through Access Stout
Step 1: Sign in to Access Stout with your Stout username and password.
Step 2: Click on “Self Service” in the left hand navigation pane.
Step 3: In the “Degree Progress/Graduation” section, click on “Apply for Graduation.”
Step 4: The first screen will show your active Academic Program, Career, Degree, and Major. If you have
a concentration and minor, those will appear here as well. If the information is not accurate,
undergraduate should email: advisement@uwstout.edu and graduate students should email:
gradschool@uwstout.edu. If the information is correct, select your Academic Program to
proceed. This example will use a student in the BS Technical Communication major.
Step 5: Select the term you wish to graduate and click “Continue.”
Step 6: Read over the “Graduation Instructions” and click “Continue.”
Step 7: Verify that all of the information is correct and click “Submit Application.”

To update your diploma mailing address:
Step 1: Click on “Self Service” in the left-hand menu pane to navigate back to the home screen.
Step 2: In the “Campus Personal Information” section, click on “Addresses.”
Step 3: The next screen will show any existing addresses you have on file. To add a new address or
change an existing one, click on “Add A New Address.”
Step 4: Enter the information for your new or updated address and click “OK.”
Step 5: You may now select “Diploma” as the type of address you are adding or updating and click
“SAVE.”
