Ms. Shaw’s Integrated 2 Class – Spring 2009
Advertising Project: Grading Rubric
DUE MONDAY APRIL 27!
20 POINTS ~ Creativity and Neatness: It is obvious that this person or persons put significant effort into this
project. The advertisement clearly portrays the product that is being sold in a creative and eye-catching way.
There is a clear explanation of what product you are advertising. (Having written responses typed is preferred,
but not required. If they are hand written make sure they are written clearly and neatly.)
20 POINTS ~ Implications: The implications and their converses that are present in the ad are clearly stated
and explained. Also, the truth value of these implications/converses are identified and explained. For example: is
the original implication true? Is the converse true? If the converse is not true, would it be beneficial to have your
audience believe the converse is true; why? (Using complete sentences!)
20 POINTS ~ Explanation: There is a clear and well written explanation of why you chose to use the implications
that you did to advertise your product. For example: what did you think the advantage would be of using that
particular implication? In order to receive full points you must write in complete sentences and put your answer
in paragraph form.
15 POINTS ~ Presentation: It is clear that your presentation was well thought out before hand. Each part of the
presentation is clearly explained. If there are partners: both partners put played an equal role in the presentation
(both talked the same amount of time).
 To start out, INTROUCE YOURSELVES!
 Clearly explain what your product is and how it can be used
 Explain why you chose the type of advertising that you did (video commercial, audio commercial,
or magazine ad)
 Explain the implications that are in your advertisement and why you chose to use those particular
implications for your product.
 Explain the truth value of the implications and how the truth value will help sell your product
(what do you want the customers to think about your product?)
25 POINTS ~ Peer Evaluations: Each one of your classmates will grade your project while you are presenting. I
will take the average of the points given by each of your classmates and that will be your score for this part of the
project.
