Consideration of Minutes A. 16 October 2008 APPROVED AS DISTRIBUTED II. Announcements – None III. Old Business – None IV. New Business A. Request for 274/475 Course 1. PHIL 275, Philosophy and Film, 3 s.h. In response to a question, Philosophy and Religious Studies Chair John Simmons told CCPI that he has communicated with the chairs of English and Journalism and Broadcasting about the course. He was asked by them if the course could be included in the Film Studies minor once the decision is made to submit it as a permanent course. CCPI informed Dr. Simmons that should the request be brought forward to make the course permanent, the description will need to be reduced to 40 words maximum. NO OBJECTIONS V. Provost’s Report Associate Provost Dallinger reported that the 2010 budget request was made to the Illinois Board of Higher Education, including one million dollars to support Nursing and $750 thousand for the Engineering program.
