Dr. Andrea Morrell, professor of Urban Studies at GuƩman Community College in New York City, will talk about her research which focuses on prisons
and urban inequality. She will discuss the place of prisons and mass incarceraƟon in urban development in Elmira, a small city in upstate New York
where there are two state prisons.
