When introducing the new approach of community radio, one community shura
member noted that “Previously there has been no way to send our voice to the ears
of the people who have responsibility to do something” but they felt that now they
are able to record their own voices and highlight the problems of the community and
take them to the ears of those in power which would help them to be heard.
