Career Project
Prepare a report about 2 jobs that have something to do with ESS.
Your report can be in any format:
Small poster with pictures and facts
Computer presentation (PowerPoint or anything similar) 15 slides minimum
*Video with you as a TV news reporter doing a story about the jobs (3 to 5 min)
*Audio with you as a radio reporter doing a story about the jobs (3 to 5 min)
*Painting or drawing of the jobs
*Comic strip about the jobs
*Sing or rap a song about the jobs
*Act in a skit about the jobs
*A mobile
*Anything else you can think of as long as I approve it
Any option with a “*” will receive extra credit
Your report must include the following information for each job:
1. Job Title
2. Why does this career apply to this class?
(4 points/job)
3. Amount and type of education needed for this job
(4 points/job)
4. Job description – What do you do for this job?
(6 points/job)
5. Approximate yearly salary
(2 points/job)
6. Risks if any
(2 points/job)
7. At least 5 interesting facts on the job
(5 points/job)
8. What kind of research would this person do?
(5 points/job)
9. Neatness and professionalism
(10 points total)
10. Bibliography, minimum three sources total.
(6 points total)
The entire project is worth 72 points total.
You will present this project to the class on the due date. No sloppy or junk work will be accepted!!
Due 9/5/12 (4th) or 9/6/12 (1st and 7th) at block pd.
