December 3, 2010 Dear Parents, Why is it that December always brings lots to do? We wrote a letter to Santa and sent a copy off to the jolly man. The original is in the Friday Folder for you to keep. We have been busy with our study of Holidays Around the World. We will spend time in the computer lab creating a sensational book that contains information we have learned about how other countries celebrate the season. It will be coming home as a traveling book that will eventually make its way to your house. Please make plans to join us for one of the Lopez Elementary Holiday Programs and be sure to bring your camera! The programs are set for: Thursday, December 16th at 1:30 and 5:00 p.m. only. Mrs. Lilly asks that the children dress appropriately for the programs. Further details will be in the principal’s newsletter. Our class Holiday Party will be on December 17th from 1:00to 2:00 p.m. Our wonderful room mothers may be asking for your help with this. Thanks for all you do! Many of the children are in need of a new box of colored pencils, as they have lost several key colors! Ask your child if they have a complete set of colored pencils left. Perhaps this would make a good stocking stuffer. We have plenty of pencils, glue, crayons and markers left so there is no need to replace them. Next week’s spelling words are attached and the sight vocabulary words are: Respectfully,
