Department Of Information Technology
A) Academic Events:
• Mr. Rahul Kakade has successfully completed MSCIT and DIT examination.
• Department of Information Technology has
organized IIT Bombay FOSS -- Free and Open
source Software. Prof. Prashant Raut is
coordinating the workshop. Two batches of 90
students from the branches of Computer
Engineering, Information Technology, Civil
Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and E& TC
have taken benefit of the workshop.
• 19 students have successfully completed a
certification course on IBM Rational Functional
Tester Tool (RFT).
• Dept has organized workshop on ‘LaTeX: Free
and Open Source Software (FOSS)’ through
spoken tutorial project by IIT Bombay. Prof. P. T.
Raut has coordinated the workshop and near
about 274 participants from various departments
got benefited.
• Prof. Dinesh Zende and Prof. Manik Chavan have
attended 2 weeks ISTE worksop on Software
Development Tech. for Engineers and Scientist
conducted by IIT Bombay and Mr. Zende
received certificate of excellence.
B) Student Achievements:
• Prof. P.M Patil has been attended the National
Level workshop on Research Challenges on Soft
Computing Conducted by SRM University,
Chennai from16/12/2011 to 17/12/2011.
• Nitin Ghuge, Niranjan Ingawale, Vishwajeet
Thombare and Akash Menthe these students of
I.T. Dept have made the C programming
language, Windows XP, Internet and Tally
understandable to a common man by preparing
its tutor in Marathi Language.
• Prof. S.S. Kare and Prof. Y. N. Sakhare have
published a paper on “Survey of Determination
of Effects to Conflicts in Project Scheduling” in
International Journal of Electronics
Communication and Computer Engineering.
C) Project Grants:
• Prof. Dinesh Zende is to be received grant of Rs.
3 lakh for research proposal selected by
University of Pune for his research project
entitled ‘Automatic counting of silkworm eggs by
Image Processing’.
• Prof. M. K. Chavan has published a paper on
"Detection of spyware by data Mining and
Machine learning techniques" in International
conference(ICASEE-2012) in Delhi
• Mr. Ganesh Nimbalkar has successfully
completed CCNA certification course.
• Prof. S.A. Swami presented a paper on “Mobile
Web Payment Consortia System for Academic
Institution” in the International Conference
(ICIET 2012), Mumbai.
• Prof. K. S. Bhagwat and Prof. S.A. Swami have
successfully completed a certification course on
IBM Rational Functional Tester Tool (RFT).

survey ” at 2011 IEEE International conference on
Computational intelligence and Computing
Research in Kanyakumari and also Completed a
Workshop on Latex organized by IIT Mumbai in
Oct’2011
• Prof. G. J. Chhajed has published a paper on
“Review on Binary image steganography and
Watermarking” in the International Journal on
Computer Science and Engineering (IJCSE). She
has successfully organized workshops and
certification exams of IBM DB2, RFT and TDS for
the students and Staff and also co-coordinated
Computer Fundamental Practical Course for
YCMOU students studying diploma in
Mechanical Engineering in Jan 2012
• Prof. M. D. Shelar has published a paper in
International Conference (ICCEI) on Image and
VDO Processing and Completed a workshop on
IBM TDS in Sept’2011.He has Certified IBM RFT
Professional with 100% Score and achieved First
class in M.E(Information technology).
• Prof. S. S. Nandgaonkar has published a Paper on”
A survey and overview on learning to adapt web
information extraction knowledge" in the
National Conference at Indore and also
published a Paper in the International Journal
(IJCTA) on the topic “Survey on Event tracking and
Event Evolution” in Jan’2012
• Prof S. A. Shinde has published IEEE Paper on
“Identification and classification of defects in
software project for remedies and solutions in
Software Cost Estimation” in 2011 IEEE

• Prof. K. V. Deshpande and Prof. T. G. Mane has
Completed 6 day workshop on “train the
trainers” in Nov’2011.

• Prof. D. M. Padulkar has successfully coordinated

Development for Engineering and Science in
Nov-Dec’2012 organized by IIT Mumbai. He has

(IJCSIT) on “Electricity transformer Life Time
Estimation by using Association Mining” and
“Uncertain numerical data clustering using Voronoi
Diagram and B+ tree”. And also completed a

resource person in the faculty development

Swami-Chincholi, Tal. Daund, Dist. Pune dated on
23rd Jan.2012.
• Supriya Shinde has presented a research paper in
National Conference at S. B. Patil College of
Engineering., Indapur dated on 7th Jan.2012.
• Miss. Supriya Babban Shinde, student of B. E. stud
first in University of Pune exam of November
2011. She scored 83.86% marks.
• VPCOE and Builders Association of India,
Baramati Centre celebrated the event ‘Engineers

Department Of E&TC Engineering
A) Academic Events :
organized by the department for all engineering
faculties to enhance basic electronics concepts.
18 faculties from various engineering colleges
were attended the workshop.
• Department has received One Day Seminar
Grant from University of Pune on the Topic
“Basics of signal and Image processing” by prof. V.
M. Gadar, IIT Bombay.
• Two days workshop on “Introduction to Robotics”
conducted by IIT Bombay during 19th and 20th
March 2011 was organized by department for all
engineering faculties. 42 members from Inter and
Intra Engineering colleges attended the lectures
through video conferencing by Prof. Kavi Arya as
well as practical session conducted by Mr. Piyush
Manavar and Mr. Pavankumar Suryawanshi.
• Dept.had been successfully conducted Electrical
and Electronics Engg subject practical course for
SE students from YIT, concepts were conducted
by Prof. Anil Bhagat and supported by Mr.
Santosh gade.
• Prof. Shantanu Jagdale has sucessfully completed
“A-View Hands on Training”, workshop held at
Amrita University.
B) Publications:
• Ms. Rupali Kawade and Ms. Trupti Kulkarni ME
(Digital System) has participated in Poster
Presentation at “AVISHKAR” on 16th December
Publications of 12 papers are on the credit of
Department during the Last Six months.

ICMLC Singapore and one ICost Dhule.
• One day workshop on “GPS and Antenna Design”
was conducted by Mr. Anirudha kulkarni and Mr.

participated and took advantage of the workshop
which was held on 3rd Oct. 2011.
• Prof. Kadbe P. K. published one paper in
ICMLC Singapore and one ICost Dhule.
• Prof. Sadalge J. A. published one paper in
ICMLC Singapore and one ICost Dhule.
• Prof. Bhosale J. S. published five papers in IEEE
Conference in Kanyakumari and URSI
Turkey.
• Three days workshop on “Robotics and Embedded
System” was conducted by Akhilesh Kumar.97

• Prof S. V. Shelge and Prof. S. E. Zarekar attended
One day Workshop On “Finite Element Analysis
syllabus review “dated 23 Jan.2012, which was
organized by Cummins College of Engineering,
Pune
• An Online 10 days Workshop through IIT
Mumbai
• The Dept has organized six days finite element
method course for T. E. and B. E. students, dated
20th Feb to 26th Feb, 2012 under the
coordination of Prof. S. N. Bhosale and guided by
Dr. S. R. Bhonsale, LTU University, USA.
• Dr. Sunit Singh, IIT Bombay visited our campus
on 27th Feb, 2012 on the occasion of National
Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering
and Technology.
B) Student Achievements:
• Prof. Borate H. P. has published a paper entitled
“Effect of Spacing and Surface Finish on the
Performance of Multiple Disc Turbine” in
International Journal of Applied Engineering
Research, ISSN 0973-4562, Vol-6, No.18 (2011),
PP 2879-2883.And also published a paper
entitled “Investigation and Analysis of Multiple
Disc Turbine” in Proceedings of Golden Jubilee
International Conference on Energy RACE-2012,
organized by Manipal Technical Institute,
Karnataka on 4th -6th Jan.2012.

2012, which included Paper presentation,
Poster presentation, Mech-Soft, Robo-War,
Robo-Race and Contraption.
• Prof. Aaher Y. V. has presented and published a
paper entitled “Forecasting Stock Prices by
multilinear regression analysis” at International
Conference of Frontier Global Issues and
Challenges in the new millennium on Emerging
economy, accounting and Finance organized by
Research and development organization, Jaipur.
• Prof S. V. Shelge and Prof. P. M. Somwanshi has
attended the “Train The trainers program” on
10th -12th Dec.2012, which was organized by
Bharat Forge Ltd, Pune
• Prof K. M. Jadhav and V. B. Bhagwat attended the
Train the trainers program on 22nd -24th Nov.
