VIGNETTES OF SCHOLARS: BLACK MALES SCHOLAR IDENTITY
Abstract
The purpose of this session is to explain how school environment helps shape Black
males "scholar identity". As an element of academic identity, participants will learn
about the scholar identity model and how they can support this identity construction in
their students and schools.
