Bio of panelists Bios of panelists Mr. John Schluter, Café Africa Mr. Philippe Egger, Special Advisor, Development Innovations Network (IRED)/West Africa Farmers Organisation (ROPPA). A development and employment specialist, he has worked in developing countries and at the ILO for many years including as Senior Adviser to the ILO Director-General. Ms. Charlotte Libog, Founder and Coordinator, Afrique Grenier du Monde (AGM). AGM's objective is to promote investments in the agricultural sector in Africa, with a special emphasis on women and youth. AGM is active in Cameroon, Gabon and Congo Brazzaville. Mr. Alain Vergueylen, Executive Director, International Guarantee Fund (FIG). Established 30 years ago, FIG's guarantees have enabled to facilitate credit of more than $240 million for producer cooperatives and microfinance organisations in Africa and in Latin America. About 45 percent of FIG's end beneficiaries are women. Dr. Shaila Seisha Galvin, Assistant Professor, The Graduate Institute. Shaila holds a PhD in Anthropology and Forestry and Environmental Studies from Yale University, and has worked both at Yale and at Williams College, USA, where her research concentrates on agrarian change in particular. She is the author of a review of Organic Certification and has conducted work on Transparency, Trust and Organic Certification in Uttarakhand, India.
