Steps to Earning Your High School Diploma A high school diploma is within reach! We help hundreds of students each year and YOU are going to be the next one to succeed. Whether you need a little help or a lot, you’ve come to the right place. STEP 1 Attend an orientation meeting and take a test to determine what you know. Staff will share your test results and talk about the best way for you to earn a diploma.* STEP 2 IF YOU NEED MORE HELP • Attend classes for subjects that challenge you. • Learn how to read, write and speak English (if needed). • After taking classes, take practice tests for all subjects on the HiSET test. We will let you know when you are ready. STEP 3 Begin taking official HiSET tests. STEP 4 Attend graduation and receive your high school diploma. HiSET IF YOU NEED LESS HELP *If you are only a few credit hours short of a diploma, you might want to take advantage of the Adult High School program.
