Xin receives top poultry industry honor
URBANDALE, Iowa -- Hongwei Xin, a professor of agricultural and
biosystems engineering at Iowa State University, was recently honored as
the 2007 Industry Person of the Year for the Iowa Poultry Association.
Xin has conducted numerous research studies on poultry health, housing and air
quality.
Xin was honored during the Iowa Poultry Association's 37th annual Fall Festival,
which was held in West Des Moines.
The IPA also gave its 2007 Lifetime Achievement Award to Don Bell, a poultry
specialist emeritus for the University of California Cooperative Extension Service.
