Assault complaint cannot be pursued
Ames and Iowa State University police said Wednesday they could not pursue
a complaint, filed by an Iowa State University staff member on behalf of a female
student, that says she was involuntarily restrained and touched inappropriately,
because the victim has not come forward.
The complaint says a female ISU student said three or four men cornered her in
a dark room at 203 Ash Ave., which is the address of the Lambda Chi Alpha
fraternity house, restrained her, and then touched her inappropriately. The
woman was not physically harmed and was able to escape.
