KCCI.com, IA 03/08/06 Animal Shelter Offers Reward In Dog Case DES MOINES, Iowa -- A central Iowa animal shelter is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of the person who hanged a family dog. On Monday, a child found his golden retriever Molly hanging from her own collar in a wooded area behind his house. The dog's body was sent to Iowa State University for examination. Police said they can't completely rule out the idea this could be a freak accident, but they believe the hanging was intentional. The Raccoon Valley Animal Shelter is offering a $500 reward for information in the case. Weber, his wife, Kim, and their four children will continue to offer their $500 reward until the case is closed. Those with information are asked to call Des Moines police at (515) 283-4811.
