Responding to Sexual Assault within 120 Hours (5 Days) If immediate medical care is needed dial 9-1-1 If the assault has occured within the last 120 hours, it is important to preserve any physical evidence and treat injury, STI's and pregnancy. Is the individual interested in visiting an emergency room for a forensic exam? YES NO or UNSURE *An exam may be conducted at Mayo Health Care Clinic Call 715-235-5531 and ask to schedule a forensic exam. Student Health Services will perform STI screening and physical exams M-F 8am-5pm 715-232-1314 Contact the Bridge to Hope to be connected to a victim advocate for help with reporting and/or coordinating other services. 7 days 24-hours: 715-235-9074 If student declines Bridge to Hope services *The victim has a right to be accompanied to the medical exam by a friend, family member or advocate. The forensic exam will be charged to the victim. Reimbursement and/or bill pay are option (advocate help needed). Financial assistance is not contingent on a police report. Health Service exams may be free if student self-selects the Family Planning Services Program. Is the victim interested in making a formal report to law enforcement?
