 North Carolina Home Base Data and Reporting in Schoolnet Teacher Reporting Capabilities-­‐ Item Analysis Teacher Spotlight: Casey Maner and Jennifer Walker Albemarle Middle School Stanly County Thank you for taking the time to hear about how Casey Maner and Jennifer Walker are using Schoolnet to engage their students with the data obtained from Schoolnet. Current as of March 2015 1 North Carolina Home Base Data and Reporting in Schoolnet Teacher Reporting Capabilities-­‐ Item Analysis Primary Audience: School and district teachers wanting to access assessment data native to their functions as a teacher. Purpose of Document: To provide a guide for teachers on how to find and use item analysis data within the reporting functions of Schoolnet. Roles Required: A user will need at least the system role of “Teacher”. Staff and Leadership users can also access the reports described in this document. ready/implementation/category?category=User%20Roles%20and%20Access. Please work with your data manager to make sure that you have the appropriate roles. The My Classroom portion of the landing page allows teachers to navigate between their assigned sections. Each time a different section is selected, the information displayed changes to match the section. Current as of March 2015 2 North Carolina Home Base Data and Reporting in Schoolnet Teacher Reporting Capabilities-­‐ Item Analysis The classroom assessment tab under recent assessemts, includes a drop down that allows teachers to select a specific assessment for review. In the Classroom Tests area there are three pre-­‐formatted reports tied to the assessment selected; Standards Mastery, Skills Analysis, and Item Analysis. Each report is color coded based on score groups. Green=90-­‐100 is the highest, Red= 59 and below is the lowest. By hovering your mouse over the color, you will be shown the score group for each color. Current as of March 2015 3 North Carolina Home Base Data and Reporting in Schoolnet Teacher Reporting Capabilities-­‐ Item Analysis By defualt, students are listed from the highest score group to the lowest. You can filter by clicking on one of the color boxes beneath the ‘Filter students’ area. You can view one score group or multiple groups. Groups chosen will be highlighted in grey. The Item Analysis tab is a pre-­‐formatted report used to analyze the individual items in a test. Note: On a district benchmark, the content of the test items and related answers are NOT visible to teachers. Teachers are able to see test item content for classroom assessment items only. Depending on your roles and the secruity of the assessment, you may or may not be able to view the content of the item. Teachers can access these reports from their landing page as well as by hovering over the Classrooms tab on the top of the home page and clicking on Student Performance. Current as of March 2015 5
