ARTICULATION AGREEMENT
BETWEEN
Metropolitan Community College
AND
THE UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL MISSOURI
This articulation agreement is made and entered into by Metropolitan Community
College and the University of Central Missouri. By this agreement, Metropolitan
Community College and the University of Central Missouri express our mutual
commitment to increasing opportunities for student access and success in higher
education. This agreement will allow for seamless transfer of students from
Metropolitan Community College-BTC who earn:

This agreement sets forth the conditions for such seamless transfer as specified in the
attached programs of study. Students who successfully complete the stated curriculum
at Metropolitan Community College-BTC will be assured that the University of Central
Missouri will accept these credits and will apply such to the B.S. degree program in
Computer-Aided Drafting and Design Technology or Engineering TechnologyMechanical (Product Design), provided, however, students meet all University of Central
Missouri admission criteria, including but not limited to the General Education
Assessment Policy. Admission will otherwise be limited to program availability and
openin~s. Program guides and requirements will be reviewed annually or as
appropriate and program guides and requirements may be added or removed at the
sole discretion of the University of Central Missouri.
Metropolitan Community College and the University of Central Missouri enter into this
program articulation' agreement leading from the Associate of Applied Science in
Computer-Aided Drafting & Design or Engineering Technology degrees to the
bachelor's degree in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design Te9hnology or Engineering
Technology-Mechanical (Product Design) for whichprogram guides have been
developed by the affixing signatures of the appropriate officers of botb ins~itutions
having authority to sign.

A minimum of 120 hours. are required for a degree at UCM.
A minimum of 30 of these must be earned at UCM.
Upper-level hours consist of those courses taken at the 3000/4000 level.
Transfer courses from community colleges may articulate/substitute as
3000/4000 level.
30 overall hours of upper-level credits are required for graduation, 20
must be earned at UCM.
A major must contain a minimum of 12 upper-level credits, 9 of them
must be earned at UCM.
A minor must contain a minimum of 1 hour of upper-level credit earned at
UCM.
*(Courses taken at a two-year college MA Y be articulated for an upperlevel course but WILL NOT count toward upper-level credit
requirements.)
A minimum of 30 hours towards a degree must be earned at UCM.
A minimum of 15 hours of a major must be earned at UCM. 9 hours of
upper-level credits in the major must be earned at UCM.
A minimum of 9 hours of the minor must be earned at UCM. At least 1
hour of upper-level credit must be earned at UCM.
All UCM students are required to pass a General Education Assessment
test. Students transferring in more than 45 credit hours are required to
take the test during their first semester at UCM. Learn more about the

This major does not require the completion of a minor. Students may add
a minor if they wish.
This degree does not require modem foreign language proficiency.
Students must achieve a minimum GPA of2.00 in all grade point averages
to qualify for graduation. This includes cumulative GP A, UCM GP A,
major GPA, and minor GPA (if applicable). Some degree programs have
additional GPA requirements and/or require greater than a 2.00.
