Daniel Farrell is a Project Manager with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). Dan manages and led development of the New York State Green Residential Building Program (GRBP). Dan is a LEED-AP, with over ten years experience in the green building, recycling, and environmental policy fields. He is an experienced charrette facilitator and organizer. Prior to joining NYSERDA in December, 2008, Dan helped to design and deliver nationally recognized green building programs for the King County (Seattle, WA) GreenTools program, and the Washington State Department of Ecology. He has also worked for the Washington State Senate, Cascadia Consulting Group, and as an independent consultant. Dan holds an M.P.A. from the University of Washington, and B.A. in public policy and economics from the Evergreen State College. Dan’s lifelong passion for green building and solar design began in the early 1980’s after reading the first edition of Ed Mazria’s “The Passive Solar Energy Book.”
