PUBLIC UTILITIES SPECIALIST / OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST INTERNSHIP
The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is looking for up to five highly qualified students to work in our Power Services organization located
at our Headquarters building in Portland, OR.
This BPA organization is responsible for all of BPA’s power operations, policies and sales and is charged with being a trusted steward of the
Columbia River System, providing maximum power and environmental value to the Pacific Northwest.
The Power Services Intern Program (Program) is an intensive development program comprised of both job rotations, on the job experiences and
classroom-style trainings that should prepare you for a long-term career in Power Services. When hired into this Program, you will receive these
opportunities:

Exposure to a wide range of BPA and industry functions and issues through formal and informal trainings

Rotational assignments through different organizations within Power Services to provide specific on the job training

Tailored developmental plan

Program lasts approximately 12 months
Salary: $12.59-$19.59/hour
Who Should Apply?
Students pursuing a degree in fields such as: Engineering,
Special Conditions of Employment:
A pre-employment security background check is required.
Student Employment Program Requirements:
For consideration under this Student Temporary Experience Program
mathematics, physical science, environmental science,
economics, econometrics, statistics, or business administration. (STEP), you must be a student who is:
Graduate students and undergraduates (who are currently in at least
the 2nd year of studies).
Work Schedule/Environment:
Students must be able to work at least 10 hours a week and/or fulltime during school vacations. Office work environment.




Enrolled in an accredited educational institution a minimum
of ½ time as declared by the educational institution
In a field of study related to the duties of the position
Maintaining a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
A U.S. citizen
Students who successfully meet the Program requirements may be
converted into the Student Career Employment Program (SCEP).
