Ethos-Pathos-Logos
You must know a little of everything to be an effective public speaker.
Topoi- Topics. You don’t have to create arguments. All of the arguments are already
there; you just have to find all of the arguments. The bank of arguments is fixed
“canned” if you will.
The Incredible Argument- If someone brings up a completely ridiculous argument, it
bunks all of the regular laws of logic, and therefore it is more believable
Arts versus Sciences- Science is an organized sophisticated system. Arts are a
systematic way of doing something, and a systematic way that can be taught.
