LEED v4: In The Trenches Jodi Smits Anderson, Director Sustainability Programs, Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) ABSTRACT LEED v4 is ramping up our attention to and integration of sustainability on the built environment. This session will review the newest rendition of the rating tool, focusing on new credits, new terminology and new resources. By "In the Trenches" we mean we will be discussing how this affect YOUR work; what skills do you need to develop, how will this affect costs and how can you mitigate costs, where might you experience frustration in asking the market to meet these needs, etc. BIOGRAPHY Jodi Smits Anderson is the Director of Sustainability Programs for DASNY, the Construction and Public Finance Authority of New York State. She is an architect, LEED Accredited Professional in the Building Design + Construction specialty, AIA member, is the Chairman on the Board of the NY Upstate Chapter of the USGBC and serves as on the national board Chapter Steering Committee (until April 2014). She has spoken throughout NY State on green building and sustainable choices, trained contractors, worked with a talented and knowledgeable committee on "Greening the Executive Mansion", and has spoken at Greenbuild in 2009 and has been an Albany TEDx speaker.
