RENEWABLE ENERGY MULTIMEDIA MASHUP
Renewable energy is energy that never runs out because it is constantly there. With the decline and
limit of fossil fuels and increasing price of oil, nonrenewable resources are no longer a viable
option.
A multimedia mashup is a technology incorporation of text, pictures, video and audio clips to describe
your topic.
You will be in groups of three. You will be assigned ONE of the renewable resources from the list
below. You will research it, find multimedia on the Internet and create a mashup to illustrate the
information that you found.
You will use VoiceThread (www.voicethread.com) to do your mashup. One member of the
group must create an account using your Gaggle email address and password. Your
VoiceThread MUST contain the following:
Title Page (Name of resource, names of group members)
Pictures (Minimum of 4)
Audio clip OR Recorded speaking (Minimum of 1)
Credits page (All information including pictures, audio and video)
You will be graded not only on the completeness and detail of your mashup but also on
whether or not you have credited your information and multimedia. Make sure you look at the example
I have provided in addition to the rubric by which you will be graded.
