Ocean Energy
The next Discussion Forum on Ocean Energy will be held on
Friday 8 June 2007 at 15h00 at the Auditorium (Room 1.01) of the Maritime
Studies/Hotel School of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Granger Bay.
Prof Deon Retief and Cobus Rossouw will introduce the topic where after an open
discussion will follow on the prospects of ocean, and in particular wave, energy in SA
and the world, the contribution wave energy can make to achieve the long term goals
of South Africa for renewable energy, and possible projects that can be initiated to
stimulate interest in this area.
All academic staff and students, representatives from the public and
private sectors as well as the general public are welcome to attend.
There will be a small reception afterwards.
