6414 - CONTROLS
6414.3 - Recording Accountable Personal Property.
6414.33 - Accountability for Property Denoting Official Authority, Negotiable Property,
and Property of a Personal Character.
7. Gasoline, Oil and Grease Records. Gas and oil issue sheets (6400-11,
8/67) are to be collected on the 20th of each month and forwarded to HQ by the 28th of
the current month.
19. Property of a Sensitive Nature. The following items shall be accounted
for on the PMIS System. These items should be budget object coded "3141" on all
procurement documents, and they will be picked up on the PMIS feeder system. Forest
Property Management Officers may add other articles to meet local requirements.
c. On the Mt. Hood National Forest, we will comply with the WO
Supplement 6409.31-91-1, dated 1/28/91, sensitive property accountable in PMIS/PROP
includes items regardless of cost:
Firearms
Radios
Items whose original acquisition cost is between $500 and $4999.99:
Audio/Visual equipment including VCR's, Camcorders,
Projectors, and Televisions, etc.
Cameras and accessories
Computers and accessories including Modems, Disk drives,
and so forth, but excluding dumb terminals.

Telecommunications equipment
Do not code anything else to sensitive without Property Management Officer's approval.
6414.4 - Identification of Property.
2a. Expendable Fire Tools and Equipment.
parts of all tools. Correct placement is as follows:
Stamp the letters "FS" on the metal
(1) Shovels - inside right corner.
(2) Polaskis - right side, middle of eye.
(3) Saws
- right side, close to handle, near the top.
In stamping tools not listed above, the letters will be placed on the upper right side when
tool is in its principal position of use.
When any equipment is to be sold, transferred as excess property to other than
Forest Service or otherwise disposed of except by demolishing, markings must be
obliterated.
